Alright, before I get into my top tips to save money on your wedding, we always have to start off with a little ~ dsiclaimer ~
I believe everyone’s priorities with their wedding day are different and that’s totally okay and normal. Only you know what’s a non-negotiable for you and what isn’t, and this day only comes once. Prioritize what’s most important to you and go from there when making a wedding budget. I just wanted to share some ways we saved money with my wedding, personally, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
1. Consider having your wedding during your venue’s off-season and/or not on a Saturday
Depending on your specific venue, some will give heavy discounts if you book your date during their “off-season.” Another option is to skip the Saturday wedding. Sunday weddings are always cheaper than Saturday’s, and with all of the covid weddings getting rescheduled, it’s becoming more and more normal to have a week day wedding as well. Skip out on your dream venue or have your wedding on a Sunday? To me, this is a no brainer.
2. Download templates for all your stationary from Etsy, or make your own designs on Canva, and print them from whatever site is having the best deal
Zazzle and other sites will regularly have 50% off sales going on. Give yourself enough time to be patient when ordering and shop around. If you want the calligraphy look for your envelopes, you can even download a template for that and print them yourself at home. We printed our envelopes, and I’m obsessed with the way they came out. Also, it’s way cheaper than hiring a calligraphist.

3. Buy your flowers in bulk
I ordered all of our flowers and greenery in bulk from Sam’s Club https://www.samsclub.com/ and spent about $400 for everything. If you’ve looked into florists at all yet you know what a deal that is! If you and your bridesmaids and family are artsy, you can even arrange all the bouquets yourself. Personally, I hired Elisa Antrom https://www.elisaant.com/ to assemble everything and she absolutely knocked it out of the park ❤️🔥 Highly recommend her for any floral needs.
4. Skip out on the bakery cake
We got a three-tiered cake from Sam’s club with extra sheet cake and had plenty. After you do your first cut into the cake, it’ll get cut for you in the kitchen so no one will even know about the sheet cake anyway. A cake for 150+ people from a bakery can easily cost up to $700… we spent $100 max and to this day keep getting compliments on how good the cake was 😂
5. Girl, get you a veil from Amazon!
Like I said, if you have your heart set on a certain vision, go for the veil at the bridal shop. Just know that you can probably find a similar one on Amazon for a third of the price. Most veils at bridal shops are around $200 or even more, but I got mine from Amazon for $18. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075CL5BBJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 While you’re getting your veil, do your photographer a favor and buy the cathedral length please!! It might feel like a pain to have something so long hanging from your head, but the reality is you don’t wear it all day and it’s so much easier to work with when getting those dreamy veil shots 😍
Well that’s all my tips for now. Be on the lookout for a part 2! Let me know if these were helpful ❤️
